Would you put $200k into a Fox Body? I sure as hell wouldn’t.

I just don’t get listings like these. Whether you’re a regular consumer, or a gearhead, who would be interested in this? Regardless of price, is there an actual market for cars like these?

I never would, I know you never would either. But at least it’s a step in the right (widebody) direction towards the best Foxbody Mustang - the DTM Mustang.

No. Not even if it was jet powered.

Close to $200,000.00 invested in this car over the past 3 years.

$90k and it’s not even the wedge Foxbody.

I’m sure there is a market for them, super rich Mustang fanboys who’d rather buy it than build it, but I doubt they’re shopping for their next “more money than brains” track toy purchase on Craigslist. haha

(sigh) must be nice...

NO.
And I am a Mustang fan.
Seriously impressed at the build though. Especially setting the engine back and mounting the radiator like a Ford GT.
I feel like the person would be lucky to get $30,000 out of it.

IIRC the guys that built this were on The Smoking Tire’s podcast. And they really put a LOT of work in there. The car is much more about how it was made, and how it drives (the suspension is a work of art by itself) rather than those pieces. Especially the engine.
This car was made as a showcase for the suspension, IIRC. And if you really paid for the work, it would be worth the 90k. But you’re buying 2nd hand here and you’re buying pieces.
